Thrivent Charitable Impact & Investing names new leaders for pivotal roles to enhance service and offerings

Thrivent Charitable Impact & Investing® (Thrivent Charitable) has named key leaders to pivotal roles that will help scale organizational growth and further develop the donor experience.

Rebecca Stibbe joins Thrivent Charitable as SVP of Charitable & Legacy Services, which includes Charitable Giving Services and Grants and Donor Services. Prior to joining Thrivent Charitable, Stibbe was at the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, where she served as the director of philanthropic services and worked with individuals and families--and their professional advisors--to support their generosity. Previously, she served as the vice president of development for the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota, as well as in leadership roles for several nonprofit arts organizations across the Midwest. As a community volunteer, she currently serves on the Board of Trellis. Stibbe received a MA in business and a BBA in marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Kim Borton has been promoted to VP of Charitable Operations and Impact. In this role, Borton is responsible for donor services, grantmaking, investment operations, and business operations and will drive organizational operations to provide a seamless and meaningful donor experience. Borton has held positions with the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, YMCA, and other locally based nonprofit organizations. She earned her Masters of Public Policy at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and a BA in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Karen Voracek has been promoted Director, Marketing & Strategy. In this role, Voracek will continue to oversee the Marketing and Marketing Communications functions and will be the key leader helping to ensure strategic alignment across the organization and with Thrivent Charitable’s key partners. With over 20 years of marketing experience, Voracek has worked at a Fortune 500 company and across industries such as chemical manufacturing, information technology, and engineering services. Voracek serves on the board for the Fort Road Federation in St. Paul, sings in her church choir and volunteers at the Jeremiah Program. She obtained her MBA with a concentration in International Marketing from the University of St. Thomas, and a BA in International Relations and German from Carroll University.

“I am delighted to have Rebecca join our team. Among many other things, she brings expertise to create even more meaningful donor and constituent experiences. I am also thankful to Kim and Karen as they take on these important new leadership roles,” said Mandy Tuong, President & CEO of Thrivent Charitable. “Now more than ever, we are ready to help more people strengthen their communities through their generosity.”
