When will I hear back about the scholarship I am applying for?
We will notify all applicants about scholarship decisions in July 2023.
If I'm an international student, can I still apply?
Yes, if you are attending a U.S. institution. Thrivent Charitable's policy is that administered scholarships may only be granted to benefit students attending colleges and universities in the United States that meet IRS regulations, therefore we can only support students attending U.S. institutions. Please note that the 2021 scholarship application cycle is now closed. Check back in March of 2022 for the next round of scholarship applications.
Does Thrivent Charitable still offer the Norman Krueger American Legion Memorial Scholarship?
We were pleased to offer this scholarship from 1998 - 2018. 2018 was the culmination of the twenty-year term of this scholarship that celebrated Mr. Krueger’s legacy. No scholarships through this program will be available in 2021 and beyond.
Does Thrivent Charitable still offer Silverdale Lutheran Church Scholarship?
We were pleased to offer this scholarship from 2000 to 2020, which was made possible by the generosity of Merrill and Elizabeth Koster of Silverdale Lutheran Church. No new scholarships through this program will be available in 2021 and beyond.
